Chris Measures
Before creating his own agency, Chris Measures was joint head of technology at London-based agency Speed Communications, then the 50 person PR arm of marketing services organisation the Loewy Group.
Combining business, technical and marketing understanding, Chris has the gray hairs and experience to cut through the noise to deliver on scaleup marketing objectives. He focuses on creating impactful programs that marry strategy and execution to successfully reach and convince your audiences.
Experience includes building profile for new entrants to the UK, US and European markets, communicating repositioning for blue chip players, launching multiple startups, running customer programmes that maximise third party endorsement and media strategies that comprehensively outshout the competition.
His past client portfolio includes major quoted companies such as Virgin Media Business, Microsoft, Madge Networks, Computer Associates and Fujitsu/ICL, sector leaders such as Bridge Fibre, Altran Praxis, The Mathworks and Enghouse Interactive and fast-growth scaleups such as Transversal, Huwise, Kameleoon, and Exony. Before being part of the management team that created Speed, Chris worked for leading technology agencies Rainier PR (now Speed), Grant Butler Coomber (now One Chocolate), Spreckley Partners and Buffalo Communications. He began his PR career working for the Cambridge University Student Union (CUSU), an elected post that included campaigns on student funding and access as well as appearances on local radio and TV.
Chris holds an MA (Hons) in History from the University of Cambridge and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Professional Diploma in Marketing.
Passionate about developing the marketing community, Chris is an organiser of The Marketing Meetup (TMM) Cambridge, and the Bury St Edmunds PR & Marketing catch up.
Demonstrating his commitment to innovation, he was also the co-founder of Idea Transform, an initiative designed to help startups develop meaningful ideas through weekend bootcamp events, mentoring and networks. He has led workshops at CIPR East Anglia conferences on the topic of measurement.
Outside work, Chris is fanatical supporter of Ipswich Town Football Club, a tortoise keeper, and an over-ambitious runner.
