Measures Consulting was set up in 2010 by Chris Measures, who has spent over 25 years working for international technology/B2B PR and marketing agencies. Co-director Kate Measures brings a focus on B2B PR and event management, with experience that includes both corporate profile raising and crisis management.

Chris Measures

Before creating his own agency, Chris Measures was joint head of technology at London-based agency Speed Communications, then the 50 person PR arm of marketing services organisation the Loewy Group

Chris uses his deep understanding of market business drivers to develop and implement creative PR and content campaigns that span digital and traditional media to deliver business objectives. Experience includes building profile for new entrants to the European market, communicating repositioning for blue chip players, launching multiple startups, running customer programmes that maximise third party endorsement and media strategies that comprehensively outshout the competition.

His past client portfolio includes major quoted companies such as Virgin Media Business, Microsoft Great Plains, Madge Networks, Computer Associates and Fujitsu/ICL, sector leaders that include Callidus, Altran Praxis, The Mathworks and DataMirror and fast-growth/startup companies such as Transversal, Opendatasoft, Kameleoon, and Exony. For more information, see our Experience section.

Before being part of the management team that created Speed, Chris worked for leading technology agencies Rainier PR (now Speed), Grant Butler Coomber (now One Chocolate), Spreckley Partners and Buffalo Communications. He began his PR career working for the Cambridge University Student Union (CUSU), an elected post that included campaigns on student funding and access as well as appearances on local radio and TV.

A self-confessed technology nut, Chris holds an MA (Hons) in History from the University of Cambridge and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Professional Diploma in Marketing

Chris is heavily involved in the Cambridge networking scene and was the co-founder of Idea Transform, an initiative designed to help startups develop meaningful ideas through weekend bootcamp events, mentoring and networks. He has led workshops at CIPR East Anglia conferences on the topic of measurement.

In his spare time after moving out of London in 2003, Chris has been enjoying the chance to watch more of his beloved Ipswich Town Football Club as well as growing prize-winning vegetables, including the best mangetout in the village…..

Kate Measures

Kate started her PR career over 20 years ago in a specialist transport and logistics PR agency, where alongside her client work with companies including DPD/Parceline, The CERT Group and British Midland Cargo she gained PR qualifications including the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Diploma (winning the national award for outstanding results in PR Management and Practice papers). She then moved to work in major London-based PR agencies, including Key Communications and Golin Harris, where she led teams on a range of internationally known clients including British Airways World Cargo, Samsung and One2One (now T-Mobile).

Following a career break, Kate has most recently been providing PR, social media and event management services in the UK and Europe for B2B organisations.
